From post accident training to SAFED Fleetmaster have a national capacity to provide high level support to employers and vehicle operators whether this be using one of our accredited courses or a bespoke course that is tailored to meet a specific need.

Our work based learning programmes have become an instrumental method of maintaining employee skills and efficiency. Work based learning has proven successful in up skilling the work force and as the initiative is back by the government and subsequently funded is a very cost effective choice for employers. All of our work based learning programmes are accredited and follow a set of national approved standards to ensure that a high level of training is maintained that is current and relevant to each sector within our industry. Funded Training – Vans, Rigid, Artic

Funded Training is one of the most used training arms in the logistics sector. Fleetmaster can provide a wide range of NVQs and apprenticeships with the vastly experienced assessors in the comfort of your own workplace. This will not only provide your employees with a nationally recognised qualification but also, it enables employers to provide quality training in a cost effective way, improves their self-confidence and makes them more efficient employees, improves their chances of promotion within the organisation and reduces staff turnover by a considerable percentage (actual amount needed). And just as importantly at little or no cost to the company.Vans, rigid, Arctic - Fleetmaster can provide a selection of vehicle specific apprenticeships such as Driving good's vehicle level 2 + Advanced Driving Goods Vehicles. These are a 365 day apprenticeship and with all work carried out with little interruption to the normal working day of the employee.

Funded Training – Traffic Office

The level 2 cert in traffic office provides candidates and employers the opportunity to demonstrate competence in different areas of traffic office operations. The award delivers essential Health and Safety competencies as well as working effectively with others and customer service as well as vehicle routing and management and pre and post journey reports and checks. Each scheme is bespoke to the client with additional high value projects embedded into the scheme. A full TNA is undertaken before enrolment to ensure outcomes meet both the company and learners needs.

Funded Training – Logistic Operations

The level 2 cert in Logistic Operations provides candidates and employers the opportunity to demonstrate competence in different areas of Logistics operations. The award delivers essential Health and Safety competencies as well as working effectively with others and customer service as well as vehicle routing and management and pre and post journey reports and checks preparing different vehicles and load types as well as storing and packaging goods and making effective contributions to the logistics sector. Each scheme is bespoke to the client with additional high value projects embedded into the scheme. A full TNA is undertaken before enrolment to ensure outcomes meet both the company and learners needs.

Funded Training – Storage and Warehouse

Apprenticeships ensure that your workforce has the practical skills and qualifications your organization needs now and in the future. The mixture of on the job and classroom based learning ensures they learn the skills that work best for your business, giving you increased productivity, improved competitiveness and a committed and competent workforce. Training apprentices is more cost effective than hiring skilled staff, leading to lower overall training and recruitment costs. Apprentices tend to be eager, motivated, flexible and loyal to the company that invested in them. Remember, an apprentice is with you because they want to be - they have made an active choice to learn on the job and a commitment to a specific career.

Funded Training – Customer Service

The customer service apprenticeships are designed to provide work-based training, development and new learning opportunities, to develop your knowledge and skills within the work place. Because Customer Service Apprenticeships can be used in all sectors it is difficult to identify specific job roles that an apprentice may be carrying out. However many industries and organizations are now recruiting bespoke 'customer service' staff and by achieving these apprenticeships, young people have a qualification that can be used across sector boundaries giving more opportunities for full employment in a dedicated customer service role. A level 2 apprenticeship is suitable for candidates who have a particular customer service/administrative job roles and are working in a customer service environment. A level 3 advanced apprenticeship is aimed at candidates who are delivering and managing service and are accountable in the area of practice. Therefore they can influence what happens at work, use the organization's rules and systems flexibly to deliver good service, question the way things are done and suggest improvements and are aware of the commercial pressures facing the organization.

SAFED - Safe and Fuel Efficient Driving

Safe and Fuel Efficient Driving is available on a 2 to 1 basis - this is a 7 hour long course and will enable your drivers to reduce your Fuel consumption up to 10% and drive the most economical and safe way possible.

Driver CPC

Driver CPC - can be carried out on your premises or ours with a maximum classroom of 20 candidates per instructor. The (3.5 Hours) modules available are:

  • Safe Loading of Vehicles (LGV only)
  • LGV & PSV Vehicle Checks and Defect Reporting
  • LGV & PSV Safed Refresher
  • LGV & PSV Drivers Hours and Working time Directive
  • LGV & PSV Digital Tachograph
  • Dealing with Accidents/Incidents
  • Manual Handling Principles
  • Driver Welfare and Safety
  • Customer Service

The seven hour modules available are:

  • SAFED - "safe and fuel efficient driving" (This course is 2 candidates to 1 Assessor)
  • Transport Heath and Safety
  • Drivers Handbook (company Specific)
  • Customer Service and Driver Welfare

DCPC IS a government mandatory requirement with a minimum of 35 hours to be completed for all professional drivers.

Driver Assessment/Risk Assessment

Delivered on a one to one basis including a structured assessment towards the candidates needs lasting 2 hours.

Post Accident

Delivered on a one to one basis including a structured assessment towards safe and fuel efficient driving principles lasting 2 hours.

Driver Development Training

Delivered on a one to one basis including a structured assessment towards the candidates needs. Training can last up to 7 hours dependant on company and driver need.

Transport Risk Management System

Delivered on a one to one basis including a structured assessment towards the candidates needs lasting 2 hours.
