The road network is the UK’s largest workplace with employees driving cars, vans and large goods vehicles to complete their daily duties. Driving whilst on company business carries significant occupational risk and is generally the most dangerous activity that employees will undertake during their working day, so it is essential that the right level of support is provided to keep employees and other road users safe whilst driving.

- 1,671 people were killed (1,602 in Britain, 69 in NI).
- 28,804 were seriously injured (27,865 in Britain, 939 in NI).
- Road deaths have decreased by 1% since 2023.
- Total serious injuries have decreased by 3% since before the pandemic (down from 29,530 in 2019).
- Aside from during the pandemic, there has been no significant reduction in the number of people killed and injured on our roads in the last decade.
