Overview - Category C (Class 2) Rigid

If you hold a category B car licence then this course will enable candidates to drive a Category C (Class 2) rigid vehicle.

Our team of experienced instructors will ensure the candidate is confident, upskilled and ready to take the test at our own test centre on the final day of the course. A report will be issued to you at the end of the test by the examiner.

In order to take your Category C licence training you must first of all gain your LGV provisional licence.

The Category C driver training course will include:

  • Medical, theories, module 2 initial CPC
  • On the road driving training with an ADS instructor, this can be either 16 or 20 hours depending on your ability
  • Manoeuvring
  • Warm up session before your test
  • Module 4 initial CPC

Eligible candidates must be:

  • Aged 18 and over
  • Fully licensed to drive a Class B vehicle
  • In possession of a valid provisional LGV licence
  • Physically fit
